Art In Embassies Lima: Installation

This morning I received the these images for my painting installation at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru. The work was selected by our US Ambassador, Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath, through the Art In Embassies program. It is displayed alongside black and white photographs by artist Martín Chambi and sculpture by Juan José Barboza-Gubo. Thank you to Tiffany Williams, Curator for the Art In Embassies program, for including me in the project.

Insufficient Capacity, oil on CNC routed panels, 72 x 84. Pictured are a semiconductor and the island of Taiwan where 90% of the world's most advanced microchips are manufactured. The recent supply chain crisis highlights the importance of access to this technology and has resulted in a shift away from globalization as many countries establish regional supply networks. The simmering China-Taiwan conflict makes this region a geopolitical hotspot and complicates US-China relations.
